Moving Rules for Dogs…..and cats

Moving is not only stressful on you, but think about your animals. Our animals are very attached to their surroundings. The last thing you should do is lock them up in a bath room only to leave them in an empty house. This is a good way to come back to a destroyed house or yard. Think about it the poor dog thinks he’s being left behind, what would you do?

Alway’s have water, food, toys, chew toys, and a bed.

Moving day may be a good day for the Pet Spa. Or have someone there that has pet duty.  If you have the time to introduce your animals to the new home before this is highly recommended. Bring a familiar bed and toy give them time investigate their new diggs. If your animals are kennel trained this is a plus.

The key also is to be patient, with the stress of a new place to live comes accidents, miss hap’s don’t take it out on your best friend.

Inside Moves is very pet friendly and supports Linda Blair’s Worldheart Foundation.  Inside Moves has just got a new family member “Theo” from Linda’s rescue and he is the new love of our life. He’s already is getting use to helping me gas trucks and make customers smile.

We hired the right company! We had a small job so we chose to be the second job of the day. The movers arrived a little late because the first job took longer than expected. No problem - because these guys were pros. They quickly and carefully loaded our items into the truck. They made a stop along the way to drop off a couch at a friends house (just a $10 extra fee for fuel). Unloading at the destination went well. No items damaged. Professional and very courteous. I hired this company based on reviews on Yahoo and also by checking their website (which has loads of information for someone planning a move). I don’t think you can go wrong with Inside Moves. When we had a glitch here (we woke up in the morning to find that the city was repaving the streets that led to our house), it was easy to reach the owner to update him on the situation, and he provided us with the phone number to stay in touch with the crew who would arrive at our house later in the day. That crew kept in touch with us - we knew they were running late, so we weren’t sitting at home wondering where they were. This company does big moves and small moves. I’ve found a gem of a moving company.

Moving in the Canyons? What you should know…

If your moving in the canyons of LA or your new house is on a hillside, would it make sense for your salesman to see the delivery.  If no one looks at the delivery chances are your going to get all loaded up and not get the truck to the house. This will also determine how many men to put on the job. If there is the need for a shuttle truck (this is a small pick-up truck to ferry the stuff back and fore from the primary moving truck.

Everyone LOVES to be APPECIATED……..

Move Woodland Hills to Topanga- Inside Moves thanks Asia and her husband for trusting our crew to handle their hillside move. David and the boys knocked it out in record time.  A small truck was a must for the Topanga delivery and still the boys had to march down a hill. This was a referral from Caldwell Reality.

Portable Storage unload to Pacific Palisades via Smartbox. Inside Moves thanks the Webb’s. They had to make room for their contractor’s to remodel their home. 3 months later were back moving in their new version. This is  one of our specialities in the Palisades area. Seems to be more remodeling then moving. We’ll take it!!!

Encino to Encino condo move to storage- Thanks to Susan to move her to extra-space storage. She was amazed at how much we got into her storage space.

Granada Hills to Northridge- Leticia was a referral from Pinnacle Reality and the Box Pro. Great customer from the get go, Leticia was ready to move from the first meeting on the  estimate. She was packed and ready to move and started and ended the day with a great attitude. Four man crew was greeted at the door with a big smile as Leticia and her son John helped finish up packing.

Leticia will be our first Utube testimonial. Thanks for making our day fun.

Senior move Chatsworth to Simi Valley- Inside Moves moved Joyce again to her new senior residence in Simi closer to her son. Toby and Chris made fast work of it, as the house dog followed them around the building.

Condo to condo Sherman Oaks to Van Nuys- Inside Moves moved Bonnie into her first house. Sunday move by special request, Bonnie called to say how pleased she was with the crew.

Unload PackRat Portable Storage in Thousand Oaks- Thanks Mike for thinking Inside Moves. The boys busted it out in a mini. Pack and Load Service by Inside Moves.

Move from Woodland Hills to the Versailles at Woodland Hills- Thanks to Rhonda At PS for  referring DR.J. We moved him from his house in Woodland Hills to the Versailles Apartments. Were waiting for his call to move back when his home is done.

Move from Hollywood Hills to Reseda and storage Northridge. Jared was  referred by PODS LA OPS Manager. This move started out as a pod job ended up a local move. Jared like everyone that moves, needed to save money. After working with him on several different solutions and waiting for the day to arrive the move went without a flaw. ( We were once PODS prefered loader, It’s nice that they still remember where to get the best service)

Monday Morning Phone Frenzy

Last week was almost the end of the month (1 day left). Local moving companies are busy the  last week of the month, the 1st week of the month and around the 15th. Most of this business is rental or end of lease based business. If you need to move in these periods book your job in advance and get a good crew on the books early.

Most Monday’s are busy days for estimates with people starting the week off get ready to go.

This Monday was like many as my weekend’s customers called in one by one to say how great are crews are. At a lot of moving companies this is an occasional thing but for the most part I get calls 8 out of 10 jobs with the customer saying how good their service was and that they will tell all their friends.

Here are some of their comments

Move Torrance to Tucson- Your guys were great Toby and Danny loaded us up and Chris and Toby unloaded. Friendly crew that was very professional. We liked the idea that we were the only shipment on the truck and there was no damage. You’ve moved my ex wife 6 times and she told us how great you were, we want you to open an AZ office. Thanks, Ken A.

On site Move Northridge. We’ve used Ted for 4 moves now and we have a 5th coming up. Your guys were fast andfunny. What’s with the group hug thing? Bob Mc.

Move to storage Malibu to Calabasas. Your guys were on time, fast and easy to deal with. They loaded up and we sent them on their way. I’ve never had a crew I felt that comfortable with. Thanks to Storage Etc for referring Inside Moves. Beverly S.

Local move Hollywood Area, Pack and Load Service by Inside Moves. Your guy were the best. They packed up and moved a 3 bedroom house and put it in a 2 car garage. We were amazed.  Chris kept saying it was his 2nd day on the job but we could tell he was joking. Great crew Thanks, Brandon

Unload POD and local Tarzana to Sherman Oaks. The crew was running late but the morning job took longer. The crew leader called and when David got there he surprised at how heavy the furniture was . It was good stuff. Danny and David put everything in and then loaded the local. The boys were very patient with me as we hadn’t planned the move out so it was confusing. Moving Project out of Control call Inside Moves

Local move Malibu to Westlake and Agoura. This project started out many months ago as the biggest job of the year. Inside moves relocated a large ranch in Malibu to several storage facilities. Thanks to Calabasas Storage for the referral and to Kelly, Samantha and Bob M. for staying with the crew for several days of marathon moving.

The estimate started out almost $40,000 in moving costs, Kelly and Samantha quickly surround themselves with the best in the business. From professional movers, packers to one of the best estate sales people I’ve ever seen, this guy had great buyers and liquidated lots of good stuff.

The first walk through there was the main house, staff quarters, exercise room, tack room 10 oversea containers and 3 sun rooms of goods. About 16-18 truckloads plus packing. Next walk through the job had been narrowed down to 12-13 truckloads, by move date we ended up with 10 truckloads.

Imagine how the customer felt when they bill was under $16,000. Whose your favorite mover now? Kelly assured me we would also be helping them with their upcoming December move as well. WERE Here AND READY TO GO!

At Inside Moves a large move is no problem. I was on the job daily with the best crew money can buy. The crew was as always patient and helpful, packing many priceless antiques and storing them in a mini storage so that everything was accessible for any last minute needs.
